Bolt2, which was originally named just Bolt, began in 1996 as a place for young teens and older adults alike to join together with their common interests, whether those would be message boards, tagbooks, the chat rooms, or because you can recieve a badge...given to members from various contests and activities contributed on the site.
Both Bolt and Bolt2 are run by Aaron Cohen: known as AaronTalks on Bolt2.com
There are a set rules set up to protect member rights as well.
Bolt2's member base is estimated to be in the millions as it once was a very popular site in the 90's.
